Beef stew
The very concept of the stew carries an impression with it that it’s something very unhealthy, and the exact opposite athletes should eat. But is it really? …of course not! Stew itself is the ultimate perfect fitness food, as it contains everything you need, proteins, fats and vegetables. Moreover, it is evolving like a pokemon, because if you prepare it for 2-3 days, each day it will taste differently, depending how the concert of the tastes plays. Is it greasy? The hell it is, even for cutting, but for bulking it is greasier than the one your grandma would make! You will be surprised how rich it’s gonna be full of flavours, the vegetables are going to make you cum.
Video is coming in spring or summer!
Ingredients:
- somewhat lean beef
- olive oil (for cooking)
- onions
- carrot
- parsley root
- raw sweet paprika
- a little tomato (just a little!)
- seasoning (salt, pepper, cumin, sweet paprika, hot paprika, chilli, garlic, nutmeg(!), bayleaf)
- extra virgin olive oil (for extra fats)
- whole grain bread or potatoes
- extra: sour cream with 10-14% fat content (if you’ve been a good boi)
Method:
- heat up the pot, then add the oil (don’t overheat it)
- add the chopped onion, caramelize
- add the chopped beef, seal it from all sides
- add the finely chopped carrot and parsley root, raw paprika and tomato
- add the water
- add the seasoning
- wait until the water is boiling, stir, low heat, put a lid on it, and stir every 10-15 mins
- and now let it cook for 45-90 mins
- 5 mins before you turn the heat off add the extra virgin olive oil
- you can bake the potatoes in oven or a pan, air fry them, or just boil them
- even if you are cutting, a little sour cream on the top will elevate it to an another level
Tips:
- you can add chickpeas to have it more eco friendly, aka you can use less meat for the same amount of protein target
- the finer your carrot and parsley root is chopped, the more dense the stew is going to be, without the need of any additional flour
- it is designed to be spicy and hot, so don’t be afraid to use enough hot paprika and/or chilli to make you sweaty, but not as much that you will stop feeling all the rich world of tastes it will suck you in
- you can be generous with the water, it will steam away; if you think you added too much, just take off the lid from the pot, and it will evaporate
- pay attention to the salt, since the water will evaporate, so adjust the seasoning close to the end
- indeed, you can make a stew even for 3 days, but the potatoes better to prepare daily
- if you eat it with bread, then you save a bunch of time, and in my opinion, it is much more authentic this way
Bon appetit!
Yeah, for some reason ever since the agricultural revolution millennia ago humans have been living on bread, but since jacked Greg and astrologer Nancy said it’s not good for you, you’re gonna totally believe them, right?
No, it was actually just a typo. I actually meant sour dream just do describe your pathetic life and miserable aspirations. …of course it’s sour cream!
