Beef Burrito
Everybody’s favourite takeaway is now easily accessible in your own kitchen. The beauty of burrito is that there is no fix recipe, so you may feel you have all the freedom on the world to do as you like, but I won’t let you, of course. You have to keep the dish authentic, otherwise chaos will prevail, and I cannot le tit happen. Anyway, authenticity, healthy ingredients and good macro proportions, just as in the case of all the other foods on this site. I think the bar is still not too high. Yeah, I am not a hypocrite, but we will ditch the corn tortillas for good, as we want to keep it healthier, the taste would not suffer anyway. We will also make some adjustments, so you can prepare it for multiple days.

Ingredients:
- olive oil
- onion
- minced beef
- garlic
- chopped tomatoes
- steamed beans
- salt, pepper, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, cilantro
- fresh or canned corn (optional)
- vegetables (lettuce, onion, tomato)
- rice
- extra virgin olive oil for additional fats
- semi-soft cheese (asadero is the best, but provolone is fine as well)
- whole grain tortilla/wrap
- extra: sour cream with 10-14% of fat (if you were a good boi)
Method:
- heat up the pan
- saute the onion on olive oil
- add the garlic for 1-2 mins
- add the minced beef
- cook it until brown
- add the chopped tomatoes and the spices
- after a few mins add the canned steamed beans
- cook it until you get rid of the excess water
- a few minutes before it’s done add the additional extra virgin olive oil
- done
- cook the rice
- assemble the burrito: put the meaty sauce, corn, rice and veggies into your wrap
- seal it in a griddle or contact grill
- top it with sour cream
