Oatmeal

If you take a look at any bodybuilder’s or any fitness influencer’s meal plan, you will see they all start their day with oats. You may wonder, why are oats so popular in the fitness industry, when actually it should be used as horse food. You are not wrong, but you cannot tell people they are not allowed to pursue a goal of looking like Sarah Jessica Parker. We live in tolerant times now, we call it stunning and brave!

Anyway, the main reason people use oats is because back then companies sold muesli/cornflakes/etc. as a turbo breakfast, and oats fit the description as well, so they could sell some basic grain with unbelievably high price gap. The second reason is because it is actually cheap, relatively rich in protein, fibres, vitamins, minerals, and its carbohydrate content has a low glycemic index, therefore it’s pretty ideal for a healthy diet I have to admit. The third reason is, that the fitness industry got stuck on the level of the 80’s, when “fat is bad”, so they try to take in all the extra calories with carbs. …now you have an objective picture why it is so popular.

However, if you’ve been a good boi, and read all the super scientific things on this website, you may wonder why on earth would someone start their day with carbs, instead of some good omelette, if I don’t recommend it. Whyyy? Well, I could make a long list with all the pro and contra, but a short answer is also the clearest: it’s simple to prepare, some people like it, and it allows them to be creative. The creativity part is already a huge factor, as self-realisation is one of our biggest drives.

Video is coming in spring or summer!

Ingredients:

  • oat flakes
  • whey protein concentrate
  • water
  • oily nuts (oir nut butters)
  • some fruit if you like it (not full of sugar)

Method:

  • pour water (1.5x the weight of the oat flakes) on the oat flakes
  • you can wait a little, so it soaks well
  • microwave for 1 minute
  • add the protein powder
  • mix
  • add the nuts, fruit or anything you want

Bon appetit!

How creative can I be? What can I put in it?

Of course, under the disguise of being creative, many put all the sugary fruits, sauces, milks, etc. in it, which may not result in a nomination for a medical Nobel prize for sure. People think the more colourful something is, the healthier; but with the same logic stranded in nature they’d end up eating literally all the poisonous creatures in a day causing an ecological catastrophe right before they lay on the ground choked to death by their own vomit.

Why can't I eat it with milk?

If you think you are such a tough calf, go suck a bull then.

It has begun!

Hey all, it took me almost a year, but my blog-website combo is finally ready to go public. It's still not completely ready though, but I hope that by publishing I'll motivate myself more.
