Hey all, it took me almost a year, but my blog-website combo is finally ready to go public. It’s still not completely ready though, but I hope that by publishing I’ll motivate myself more. It took a lot of time to learn how to create a website, plus how to build up the entire structure. Initially, I just wanted a blog-centered website, where I debunk all the myths in the fitness industry that affect both the beginners and even experienced athletes as well. For fun. Then I realized I should already include an alternative in a comprehensive form, so I’d not only criticize everyone, but also present a solution. I don’t want to be the guy who is just mocking everything and everyone. I’ve done my research, done my studies, and all I want is just to present an easier approach regarding training and diet too. Nowadays there are more personal trainers than DJs and photographers, I don’t plan to be one of them. No, not even an influencer, God no. I have a real job and have a life, I’m fine, thanks. I am aware what I know, but most importantly, aware of what I don’t, so if I say something works, then it truly works.
The reason I decided to create a fitness site is nothing quite special. I took myself and basically everyone else as an example. At the beginning, we’ve struggled kinda a lot just to find relevant information on the internet. And we still can’t find a comprehensive, yet fact-based website. So. I thought I’ll do it, since no one have done it.
I thought I am smarter, but I was wrong. Why?
I was like, OK, so it’s pretty easy, just to organize my thoughts, build a website, and then just write some blog posts once in a while, and in the meantime, still adding knowledge simultaneously with its re-structuring. …right? What could go wrong?
Nobody has ever bothered with an elaborated program, because why would anyone do it for free, nobody has ever bothered with a comprehensive knowledge base, because it’s just a waste of time from one’s end. And there are already myriads of blog posts that will crush the legitimacy of any new article. Also, building this shit from a scratch is a pain in the ass, like getting raped by a horse, fuck. Imagine how many times I deleted everything and started from the beginning, because it wasn’t intuitive enough.
What is the use of this website then?
I know, I know, you type something into Google, and there are literally billions of search results, texts so much that even hundreds of years would not be enough to read them all. Everything is extremely accessible, moreover, just one innocent typing somewhere in your browser or on your phone, and Mark Zuckerberg will make sure that you’ll be haunted by relevant ads even in afterlife.
So, if this is the way things work, then why do fat people still exist?
Don’t they just type how to drop weight etc., and then follow something, and then voila, Greek gods and goddesses everywhere? Do they want to be fat? Or…why do people struggle even after years of training? Why do they blame their genetics, or feel guilty when they deviate a little from an inflexible routine?
It’s simple, too much information with extreme inconsistency. Too difficult to navigate. People know well how to use Google. People have tried multiple diets, many of them even hired a personal trainer. It’s not the question of the will, money is not important either. Motivation is the key. It runs out easily, especially after failure or stagnation. It’s not their fault that they didn’t master all the knowledge about physiology, diet and workout anatomy. We all have our strengths, you can’t expect people to be on the top of everything.
Top reasons why most people fail
(and it’s not their fault)
Being healthy is one of the most important aspect of our lives, we all love to eat, and we all know that we should work out. But we don’t want to spend hundreds and thousands of hours with theory, experimentation and learning by making mistakes. And it’s all right, we have friends, family, hobbies, whatever. There are much important ways how to contribute to the society, and looking good…well..is not amongst the top ones. Luckily, now you just read what you should do, follow it, and you’re done. Welcome…
Most of the diets suck
People google, people find some meal plan. That meal plan is usually obnoxious, foods you have never eaten before, typical fitness dishes, 5 or even more meals a day, meals bound to fix schedules, their preparation would require hours every day. Restrictions everywhere, forcing you to eat what you don’t like, and forcing you to give up foods and drinks that make your life happier. A 180 degree change in your lifestyle. You just wanted to drop some weight, gain some muscle or to get fitter, but not to live a tasteless life of someone else.
Most of the workouts suck
People are not lazy, they go and fucking get done the workouts. You sweat, you fight, you push your limits. But then you get tired, you get bored, it’s not an enjoyable activity for you, it is a must. A punishment, a torture. We are different, not everybody has the same hobbies, those who like it are very fortunate. It may work for gym rats with no life, but not for ordinary people.
Your gym routine is not your life, only a little part of it!
Most of the personal trainers suck
99% of them doesn’t know what they are doing. Indeed, they know more than a layman client. But only a very few of them has a real knowledge. After you get through this site (ok, like when it’s finished, not now, lol), you’ll know much more than any personal trainer you’ve ever encountered. Their efficacy is super low, sometimes it’s intentional, sometimes they just have no idea what they are doing.
Who is this website for?
If you have any aspirations to end up at the Mr. Olympia, you are on the wrong website. But if you want to impose some slight changes on your lifestyle, while achieving big changes on yourself, then this is for you. Nothing sensational, nothing dramatic, no false promises with miraculous secret workouts, superfoods, and those magic pills that get the work done instead of you. This site is no more than it claims to be: methods, information, blog posts, and other health related topics. If you have no time to invest into your well-being, but you still have the tiny flame of intention, then if your “time-budget” allows only one fitness media to consume, this should it be.
Do you like they way you eat?
Are you willing to make changes, but you’d better eat tastier foods than before and not the opposite? Do you want to learn cooking, but rather some quick meals, because you are busy? Have you ever thought that you can own a fitness model body achieved with your favourite meals, while you never have to feel hungry anymore? Would you like to save money spent on food, but also to improve the quality of what you eat?
Do you like the way you train?
Do you get too tired after a workout? Do you feel that your current workout doesn’t bring you satisfaction, and it’s more like a tedious responsibility that makes you to atone for your sins? You don’t want to train too often and for too long? You wish there was an easy way that gives you more results with much less time and effort? Do you think it’s impossible? Why? Because someone told you?
So, would you get excited if you could work less for more results?
No, this is not about cheating, not about doing something illegal, no magic either. This site is about applying science and common sense in fitness instead of sheer myths. And the biggest plus: it is, and it will remain free! I have written it already in Why so unclish?, making money out of someone’s despair is not a business, it’s disgusting. The knowledge is already online. Retaining life-changing information for financial gain is extortion, period.
Why would it be true and why would it work?
Never doubt a lazy person when they present you the easiest way, while some others work hard and suffer. There are literally no downsides. Plus, you don’t pay anyway, so fuck off.
Let’s embark on the journey of blogging or whatever, I’m really curious if it’ll have an impact or not. And if it will, then what kind.
Acknowledgement
Many thanks for Attila Večerek for his tremendous help, I’d be nowhere without him, and I still owe him a dinner. To be honest, I had been so ashamed to contact him for like a year, because it’d remind us that how slow this project goes. But finally, it has begun hahah! Many thanks for István Máté who created the logo and motivated me, otherwise the whole process would be even slower than now. And, many thanks to you who is reading this, so all my effort was not in vain.
…
…but wait! The website is still not ready? What now?
Yeah, sorry for that. It’s kinda difficult to do something that other people do in a group and in full-time. But I swear I’ll get my life together, and finish it.
What will come in the future?
Elaborated plans
I am deeply aware, that even if I’d write everything necessary in Training and Diet, a layman would still feel kinda lost. Why? Because our information threshold has been growing since the internet went viral. People need precise plans what they should follow, while they will learn later. At first the how and only then the why. This is why I created The Easiest Way in the menu, straight to the point.
More detailed exercises
Yeah, I plan to do actual videos to demonstrate the proper execution, because it’s much more efficient and much easier to understand than in a written form.
Recipes with videos
I’ve never thought I’ll be one of those who cook for an audience apart from my dog. I know you won’t be as interested as him that you’ll watch me without blinking, licking your mouth every minute and bark when you think you deserve that bite.
Ingredients
It’s too general, but at least comprehensive. I will broaden it, so wherever you live in the world, whatever foods are available there and paying attention to your budget, you’ll be able to achieve tasting bud orgasm multiple times a day, while obtain a body that you’ll have to cover from sexual harassers. Oh, and would be useful also a section for what to avoid?
Vices
We all know life is not about eating healthy and working out. I mean, I will teach you how can these pillars of your life become enjoyable and implemented in your everyday routine, but I feel responsible to guide you through the very vices, so you can live your life on the fullest and virtually slap everyone on the face who will think top shelf body doesn’t go well with “unhealthy” habits.
Injuries and other lifestyle tips
Let’s say I didn’t have this website when i started, so I had to find out everything on my own…but I’ve already told you that. There are people who don’t give a shit about their health and appearance at all. Nevertheless, they still get affected by injuries and pains that, in a short time, make their life miserable. Even in my work I encounter on daily basis what poor lifestyle choices do to someone in long-term, and how a simple injury or pain can determine someone’s entire life ahead of them. But all these problems can be solved super easily, and I’m not talking about alternative medicine, chiropractors, Ayurvedic practices or woo-doo, neither some Hogwarts spells. It will be very simple yet very efficient.
And bloggy-bloggy, of course!
Oh, there are many-many topics that are eager to show up here, myths that want to be debunked, mistakes that have to be corrected and methods with their prophets that gotta be mocked.
